Day Trip @ Sekinchan

After the graduation from BA (Hons) Event Management in UK, my friend and I decided to meet up for gathering. We then plan to go Sekinchan for a half day trip. Why Sekinchan and where it is situated? Originally, the town is well-known fishing village that situated in the state of Selangor and one of the major rice supplier in Malaysia. The place was recent gain more visitation due to the Hong Kong drama named Outbound Love <单恋双城> in 2014. As the series was shooting in Sekinchan for few scenes. 

Foremost, we will meet up in the newly opened cafe that near our Diploma university. It's a kind of throwback memories to where we know each other. The day we met was raining in the early morning and we still hesitate whether or not to continue our outskirt journey to Sekinchan. Luckily, it stop raining when we are on the way going through the old road from Kuala Selangor. The sky turns bright and shine.

Funny happen is that even we are all from event management students that do planning have no plans on this trip. Spontaneously, we go with our heart and first visitation to the famous rice factory. On the weekend, the factory is pack with tour bus and local visitors. The one of the factory that open for visit during the year end of 2013 with an entrance fees of RM 4/per person. It fees included the video presentation of the paddy plantation process, type of rice and tools to harvest as well as redeem free pearl rice coupon in the end of the visitation.

During the visitation, I actually bought some pearl brown rice and noodles back home to cook. As I have interested to start cooking during my further study in UK for my daily meals. Once done, we went out for the paddy field scenery. It was wonderful and so green plantation that good for eyes.

Next, the Pantai Redang (Redang Beach) is the famous scene taken from the Hong Kong drama. The  way to Redang Beach from town is turn right when you reach T-junction in Bagan. Drive all the way, you will be passing through fishing village and few restaurants, then a Chinese temple on your left until you see a sign with Pantai Redang, turn left. The best advice is to follow the road sign ' Pantai Redang' until the end where a large crowd especially on the weekend. Not to be missed, the seafood in Sekinchan are fresh and cheap if you are still around during dinner time.
