It's January. Everyone are preparing to return to their same route especially all the kids are at school, while you'll be having a short trip here!

Nevertheless, are you interested to know the famous universities in United Kingdom (UK)? There will University of Cambridge and University of Oxford which currently in the top 2nd and 5th rankings respectively in the world (QS World University Rankings, 2014). Even though I can't studied in these famous universities but I take the opportunity to visit both locations. And now, I'm sharing these both oldest town in UK.

CAMBRIDGE

Cambridge is most widely known by everyone due to the University of Cambridge. It is consistently ranked one of the top five universities in the world. The exact locations of the Cambridge city is about 50 miles (80 km) north-by-east of London.  You can either take the train from London King's Cross or London Liverpool Street to Cambridge with an hour thirty minutes.

OXFORD

Secondly, the University of Oxford. If you are coming from London, you are advise to pick the Oxford Tube coach in front of the Hilton Hotel with air-conditioned, free wi-fi and comfortable seat. The buses run every 10 minutes and approximately 1 hour 40 minutes to reach Oxford depending on the traffic. It will stop in few locations and pass by Oxford Brookes University, then we should get down from High Street and few minutes walks to the Oxford Town.

Most of the universities are consider as Oxford Uni with different faculties. While traveling, you will see those different faculties everywhere in different area. Hereafter, there is not much of activities to do in Oxford and just walk around until you feels like to pick the Double-decker coach back to London. Besides, do search few shooting locations of the Harry Potter movie. That it.

Apart from that, most of the Oxford college have to pay the entrance fees for a visitation and my purpose of visits is to the Dining Hall where the Harry Potter most famous scene. However, the Dining Hall was under renovation till the time when I leave, I asked the person in-charge where he replied was the Dining Hall was under renovation too and take about few months to be done. On  the spot, I can't get the reasons why of cheating the visitors money where inside have nothing else to see and just walking around the college. I must be bad luck on that day..
